I remember as a small child, I was fascinated by crayons, cutouts, coloring books and anything to do with art.
My career took me into the field of interior house painting. I started my own business in 1981 and for over 25 years I have worked in the trades.
One common thread with all of my work is how I use color. It just seemed natural to bring my talents home and work on art projects. I dabbled in pen and marker drawings, but soon found watercolors and acrylic. I found using watercolor more interesting and challenging. When I became interested in woodworking, I used my skills with acrylic paints and created my "mini Monet" bird houses. These hand made homes are painted with exterior acrylic craft paint.
I was introduced to pastels in 2007 and my passion for color became re-ignited.
What interests me the most about all my work is how color works together. It's the way the color compliments the rooms, the paintings and the bird houses in all my artistic adventures.
